Mr. Hosseinzadeh, please describe your university education and technical expertise to our audience.

I am a graduate of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Ceramic Materials Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology. My expertise is in the subject of refractories. From 1376 to 1383, I worked in a large company producing refractory materials called Pars Refractory Products. Between 2016 and 2018, the Pars Refractory Products Research Center, which I was in charge of, became the country’s model research center in the non-ferrous metal industry sector for 5 years, and in the last years, when I was in the production department, we became the provincial model production unit. Since 2003, we brought Mehrgadaz refractory products company, which was not in good condition and was being sold, into operation with a group of 4 people.

I was present in this company from 1383 to 1392, we were able to make the company profitable until the net profit of that company reached 60 billion Tomans in 1392. This was while this company was supposed to be handed over in 2013 with the amount of 8 billion Tomans.

– Therefore, your current business is a continuation of your academic and work experiences.Yes sir. From the very beginning, I was interested in continuing to work in my field of study. I worked in this industry for about twenty years. For more than 7 years, I have been teaching special courses in die-casting at Meybod Azad University, and I have registered more than 25 articles in domestic and foreign journals, most of which are in the field of nanotechnology.- Please introduce the specialized area of Atlas Ceram Desert Company.

In Iran, refractories consumption is about 450 thousand tons per year, of which 300 thousand tons are produced inside the country and the rest are imported from abroad, most of the imported parts are advanced ceramic parts with high technical knowledge. The production of this part of products in Iran requires technical knowledge or advanced equipment. In this field, we were able to replace some of the products with domestic sample production by bringing superior technical knowledge. Our work was on combustion chamber ceramics used in Siemens V94.2 gas turbines. These turbines are in the power plant industry where there are about 200 turbines of this type in the country. Most of the country’s electricity is produced from these turbines and they are all Siemens designs.

There are two combustion chambers in the upper part of these turbines. These bricks, which have unique characteristics in terms of dimensions and quality, physical and mechanical properties, are installed on top of the turbine head. The sensitivity of these parts is so high that if the smallest part of these bricks is separated for any reason, it will fall on the turbine blades and cause them to break due to the rotation of the turbine blades and cause billions of dollars in damage to the power plant. In this sense, the technical knowledge of these parts is very high and the sensitivity of these parts is extremely high.

We established this company in 1392 and we were able to achieve the ability to manufacture these refractory bricks by 1394 by passing various tests that had to be done in the presence of Tavanir representatives. The localization of the technical know-how of manufacturing these products, which is based on nanotechnology, was done by obtaining patents and technical information of foreign companies, as well as reverse engineering of their bricks, and finally internal research and tests. Finally, with the efforts of the company’s engineers and employees, we were able to mass produce these bricks in Iran.
